There are many memories of motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss who died at the weekend at the age of 90, but none perhaps more poignant than thos of our secretary, Chris English.
He recalls ” I had the pleasure of meeting (and interviewing) at Goodwood Festival of Speed — a true gentleman in every respect and I am proud to have this, signed, this pencil sketch hanging in my hall. RIP”
Treasurer Mike Ford recalls he was present at the fateful crash on the Goodwood circuit in 1962, which effectively ended Stirling’s motor racing career.
